Triphala is one of the most well-studied Ayurvedic formulations, and studies have shown it to possess anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, free radical scavenging, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, laxative, anti-arthritic, anti-stress, anti-diabetic, and immuno-modulatory properties. The composition of triphala is rich in various antioxidants such as ascorbic, ellagic, gallic, as well as chebulinic acids and several classes of flavonoids.

Brewing Instructions:

Scoop one teaspoon (~2gm) of the Triphala Green Tea into the infuser for one cup.
Pour in freshly boiled water (ideally at 195°F)
Let it brew for 4-5 min. Stay close to this steep time for optimal flavor.
Pour through a strainer and savour the aroma and flavor of this classic tea.
Use again and again, you can steep this tea 2-3 times.

The Love Blend - Rose Oolong Tea

Dharmsala Tea Company's Love Blend, or the Rose Oolong Tea, is a floral blend made using organic roses grown in our tea estates and our signature, hand-rolled oolong tea. Beautiful, aromatic rose petals add the perfect relaxing touch to the smooth, creamy and earthy taste of oolong.

Our oolong tea is an exquisite tea. It is oxidized to medium levels by our tea masters, using careful processing techniques to strike the perfect balance. Given the medium level of oxidation, our hand-rolled oolong is a light to medium bodied tea, and has a smooth, creamy flavor, with floral and toasty notes. The oolong tea leaves are hand-rolled by our tea makers, ensuring that all the delicate flavours and notes of the oolong tea are retained. The leaves and the hue of the brewed hand-rolled oolong tea is a beautiful light golden colour.

The organic rose petals we blend the oolong tea with are also special in their own way. Grown in our tea estates, these damask roses have a subtle, gentle sweetness that complements the oolong tea notes perfectly. The rose petals impart their beautiful scent to the blend through an intricate blending process that lasts several days. When the rose flowers are harvested, the oolong tea leaves are laid out, with fresh rose petals separating layers of tea leaves. The layered leaves and flowers are left overnight, while the oolong tea leaves absorb the fragrant, aromatic oils and flavour from the roses.

Oolong Tea is unique in that it contains high levels of beneficial catechins such as EGCG (present in green tea) as well as theaflavins and thearubigins (present in black tea). Research has shown that steady consumption of oolong can lead to lower risks of having high total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL or “bad” cholesterol levels.
