Jamun is botanically known as Syzygium cumini from the Myrtaceae family. Sir Cotton Kala Jamun is the new emerging variety of Jamun from kadiyam, Rajahmundry. The name Sir Cotton is derived from the farmers in the honor of Sir Cotton Arthur, who was an irrigation engineer. This plant grows in medium size, easy to plants in the house garden, farmhouse, in the pot (30*30) etc,. It have high yielding & big fruit size after Bahadoli Jamun, the pulp contains is more in this variety. It is totally new in the market.

Growing Tips

Provide full Sunlight areas for the plant.
You can grow it medium to large size pot and also directly in the soil.
Add any organic or homemade compost once in 3 months.
Provide organic mulching near the root zone of the plant.
Do not promote flowers till 2 years, it will give physical strength to the plants.
Provide support to plants to withstand wind & other physical damage.

TEMPERATURE - Between 15-40 Degree Celsius.

MAXIMUM HEIGHT - It can reach up to 8 meters (if planted in the ground)

FRUITING TIME - The plant will start fruiting after 1 year of planting.

Fertilizer - Organic Fertilizer once in 3 months.

INITIAL CARE FOR 10-15 DAYS JUST AFTER RECEIVING YOUR PLANT

Remove the Packaging Materials carefully.
Press the soil in the pot & add additional soil(garden mix) if necessary.
Maintain moisture in the pot, Do not overwater it may kill your plant, so make sure that the soil should be dry between watering.
Make sure that plants get enough morning direct bright light(2-3hrs) for 10-15 days & do not go for immediate transplanting (minimum 1 month)
After 1 month you can transplant it into a slightly bigger pot than the present pot or directly in the ground.
Just prune if any branch of the plant is get damaged in transits. New leaves will come definitely.
