Show your hairstylist exactly how much you'd like to get cut. Don't just say "two inches off." The client's and stylist's perspective on an inch can be different. The best practice is to physically show your stylist what you mean by two inches. Ask as many questions before the haircut begins, keep in mind that the stylist might cut the front pieces shorter than that if you want layers. Also, whenever your dresser uses terms like "layers, blunt etc…" ask to see a photo that illustrates what is being referred to.
