Syed Mujtaba Rizvi is known for his fearless, contemporary and political voice through his art, that draws reference from his personal experiences and his hometown of Srinagar, Kashmir.

The graphic excerpt is from his series ‘Redundant Conversations’, that investigates how mainstream narratives, personal memories and social behavior are shaped by contemporary politics; and intends to reflect on the ongoing bombardment of visual imagery showing human suffering in different parts of the world and our slow and continuous desensitization to such imagery.

The series, showcased at India Art fair has just won a Creative Activism Award from Cultures of Resistance and is an ongoing collaboration with HUEMN in marrying art, activism and fashion; making many appearances through the HUEMN showcase at Pitti Uomo in Florence.
