यम, नियम, आसन, प्राणायाम, प्रत्याहार, धारणा, ध्यान, समाधय: अष्टौ अङ्गानि।

Transliteration:

yama, niyama, āsana, prāṇāyāma, pratyāhāra, dhāraṇā, dhyāna, samādhaya: aṣṭau aṅgāni।

Hindi Translation:

हितायु, अहितायु, सुखायु एवं दुःखायु; इस प्रकार चतुर्विध आयु के हित तथा अहित, पथ्य और अपथ्य आयु का प्रमाण एवं स्वरूप जिसमें हो, वह आर्युवेद कहा जाता है।

English Translation:

Principles, Personal Disciplines, Postures, Control over life forces, Withdrawal of Senses, Focused Concentration, Meditative Absorption, and Enlightenment are the 8 limbs of Yoga.
