Finding it difficult to capture the likeness of people in your art?

In these sessions, we will be drawing lots of heads from reference. I will demonstrate and teach you how to think when drawing heads and faces. We will also be doing cartoon heads by simplifying.

More focus will be on the drawing part with just a bit of light and shadow.

For Beginner and Intermediate Levels

16+ Years. Not for younger kids.

Joining details will be emailed to you 24 Hrs before the session.

Tools Needed:

Ipad + Procreate App or any digital medium. (used for the demos)

OR Pencil and paper and some alcohol markers for toning/shading

The focus will be on the drawing part. Skills taught will be transferrable to any digital or traditional medium.

Things covered in this workshop:

In the two sessions, we will create a cartoon character from references to learn the entire process of illustrating a Human Character.

Session 1:

Head structure and anatomy.
Drawing heads from References.
Capturing Likeness by exaggerating features.

Session 2:

Art of Cartooning Faces and simplifying and exaggeration.
Drawing Cartoon portraits from references.

The session is interactive so be ready to show your face :)

ESSENTIALS:

Basic knowledge to know in your preferred drawing software - Importing images, Selecting, Transforming, Brushes, Eraser, Layers. (will be taught using Procreate)
High-Speed Internet connection for Zoom streaming.
